“Anything I can do to give back, I want to give back. That’s what I am.”

Phil is a husband to a loving wife, a father of three and grandfather of four, and lives with Homozygous Familial Hypercholesterolemia (HoFH). This is a rare condition that raises your blood cholesterol to extremely high levels since birth.​
Phil has always been an active, sporty person, he grew up playing roller hockey. Then around his mid-twenties, he couldn’t stay in shape… Only some years later, he found out that this was due to his rare disease. Phil didn’t give up, neither on his diagnosis nor on his passion and he started roller skating. Sharing his story, he hopes to help others to not give up on their journey.​
